Alabama: Birmingham pair charged with meth trafficking during sheriff's op
A drug investigation in Birmingham led to the arrests of a man and a woman on methamphetamine trafficking charges. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office on Monday identified the suspects as Johnrell Quincy Davis, 35, and Candice Cherie Martin, 36. Both are from Birmingham. We think its strange something like that is happening around here.
Woman jailed in weekend stabbing of Tuscaloosa man
A woman is behind bars after authorities say she stabbed a man who told her she was no longer welcome at his apartment. Tuscaloosa police on Saturday responded about 11:30 p.m. to Brookhaven Apartments on James I. Harrison Parkway on a report of a stabbing. Once on the scene, they found a 27-year-old man suffering from lacerations to his chest, fingers and ear, said Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Capt. Kip Hart. Again, it's strange that this happening around us.
Crime: Indiana woman who killed 2 kids faces hearing in 3rd killing
FORT WAYNE, Ind. – An Indiana woman serving a 130-year sentence for fatally smothering her two young children is expected to plead guilty in a former neighbor's killing. WPTA-TV reports Amber Pasztor is accused in the fatal shooting of 66-year-old Frank Macomber. She expected to plead guilty but mentally ill Monday in an Allen County courtroom. Authorities say the 30-year-old Pasztor killed Macomber in September 2016, stole his car and abducted her two young children from their custodial grandparents' home, prompting an Amber Alert. She drove about 70 miles (110 kilometers) from Fort Wayne to Elkhart and parked behind the Elkhart Police Department. The bodies of 7-year-old Lilliana Hernandez and 6-year-old Rene Pasztor were found inside the car. Pasztor confessed to the killings and pleaded guilty but mentally ill to two murder counts. We think this is awful.
Food: Arizona mom arrested after toddler ate THC-laced mac and cheese, cops say
An Arizona mother was arrested Thursday after police said her young daughter ate THC-laced macaroni and cheese. Alaina Marie Limpert, 25, allegedly laughed when she realized her daughter, who is less than two years old, was experiencing the side effects of THC, a chemical found in marijuana, as she ate the meal with her father, the Tempe Police Department said. We think this is weird.
Navy: Remains of seaman killed in Pearl Harbor attack identified
JACKSON, Ohio – The military says the remains of a Navy seaman from Ohio who died in the 1941 attack at Pearl Harbor during World War II have been identified. The Defense Department says the remains of 25-year-old Navy Seaman 2nd Class Frank Wood, of Jackson, Ohio, will be buried Saturday with full military honors in Franklin, North Carolina. The Defense Department's POW/MIA Accounting Agency says Wood was assigned to the battleship USS Oklahoma, which capsized in the attack by Japanese aircraft. Wood's remains were among those considered unidentified and buried in Honolulu in the years that followed. In 2015, crews began exhuming the remains for more analysis. Officials say DNA analysis and dental comparisons helped identify Wood's remains. We think this is cool.

Tracy and Chris Ward were digging up a rock feature when they struck metal, and eventually exposed the rotted remains of a 70-year-old Daimler Consort. The Wards told SWNS that they first thought it was a tractor, but then discovered broken window glass, red leather upholstery and a license plate.

I remember everything slowed down at the time, I felt like I was going one mile an hour. I could feel my hand start to burn.”

The dog also died after being hit.Katie Mason, of Stafford, drove off the road around 10 p.m. Saturday and ran into a guardrail before the dog escaped from the vehicle, police told FOX5 DC. It was not immediately clear what caused the crash.
